We had about 85 people at our Janesville, Wisconsin event at the Janesville Senior Center.  Jim told the group that we were pleased to be in the hometown of their favorite son who looks after seniors. He also said what an honor it is to know George W. Bush, who paid tribute via video to Jim.  He said he was pleased that his legacy is he gave a future President of the United States a job!  The crowd was very interested in learning AARP’s involvement in the passage of Obamacare.  Jim also talked about the history of scaring seniors into the voting booth, including former Representative Tsongas’ quote about the ‘twin horses of hipocracy’.  Jim said attack ads are used to distract seniors from the real facts that Medicare will not be solvant in the near future.
